Leadership

Mr Julius Mabula
Secretary General, TPTU
Tanzania Private Schools' Teachers Union
Mwanza, Tanzania
"Every teacher in every private school deserves dignity, fair pay, and a union that stands firmly behind them — that is what TPTU is built for."
— Julius Mabula, Secretary General · TPTU also stands for all non-teaching staff in private institutions
Tanzania's private education sector is growing rapidly. Yet too many teachers and non-teaching staff continue to face insecurity, unfair treatment, and inadequate compensation. TPTU was founded to change that reality.
Through collective bargaining, legal advocacy, capacity building, and economic empowerment programs like TPTU SACCOS, we are transforming the realities of education workers in private institutions across the nation.
We invite all eligible teachers and staff to join us — stand in solidarity, and help build a private education sector that works for everyone.
